🌈 SEEKING LEGO® DONATIONS FOR A FREE FAMILY EVENT! 🌈

Play 4 Change Inc is preparing a free, fun family event that nurtures family connection while supporting children who have been impacted by trauma, family violence, or challenging life experiences. 💜

We have already been kindly supplied with LEGO® for one part of this event (thank you! 🙏), but we are now seeking additional mixed LEGO® or LEGO-compatible pieces to help create a second hands-on activity for families.

🧱 What we’re looking for:
• Mixed tubs of genuine LEGO®
• LEGO-compatible bricks that connect with standard LEGO®
• Random pieces, odd shapes, leftovers — anything families can build with!

Every donation, big or small, helps us create a meaningful, creative, connection-focused experience for families who need it most.

If you have LEGO® your family no longer uses and would love to pass it on, we would be so grateful! 💜

Issue 5 is now out with a Shop Local This Christmas feature

You can find the latest issue and also a copy of the Business Directory pinned to the top of the page at all times

Being a digital-only magazine, it allows a larger range of locals to be involved, thanks to lower advertising costs and no limit on the number of pages per issue.

Plus, all ads are clickable links so you can learn more about every business, event or community group in every issue.

My mission is to make it easier for locals and small businesses to find each other.

Congratulations to Joy and Jamie on all their amazing work and dedication over the last 5 and half years building such a beautiful publication, I myself have enjoyed reading Alive each month since moving to the area 3 years ago 💕

I am so very honoured to have been chosen by Joy to continue on the publication and look forward to being a part of the Alive community

Please know that Island View Connect will continue to grow and be a valuable resource to our local community, it will not disappear or stop ❤️

This new adventure just means twice the fun for me each month from 2026 🎉

Alright, the secret is out!

This distribution run will be our last as the owners of Alive Magazine, this week we will hand this business over to the amazing Kelly from Island View Connect Magazine to continue operate the Alive Magazine as usual, keeping the same essence, vision and quality.

We had so much fun in the past 5.5 years meeting so many incredible people, inspiring locals and business owners who have given so much to the community. Also sharing lots of hugs, sweat and tears.

We have 3 wonderful local animal refuges now writing each month for Island View Connect Magazine

I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone of the people who take the time to be a part of this community magazine.

By bringing everyone together we are making it easier for locals to connect and support each other.
