Not long after moving to Melbourne, I was networking with a new contact and sharing how my life was changed by a story. I didn’t realise it at the time, but he saw it clearly and said, “Ben, no wonder you’re so passionate about storytelling—you’re life was changed by a story!”

That moment was mind-blowing for me. I’d been building my specialism in storytelling for 10 years without realising the true depth of my passion. That’s when "Teller of Remarkable Tales" was born.

Fast forward to my latest project. I’m incredibly proud of the film we wrapped—it radiates the authentic emotions of the participants, and I have no doubt it will be a huge success in attracting new participants in future rounds.

My Approach:
I believe minimalism in video production is key. While many creators get wrapped up in excessive gear—many lights, cameras, and audio setups—it creates unnecessary stress. I prefer a minimal setup: A thematic outline, a few guiding questions, no scripts, and a safe space for authentic conversation.

A key takeaway from my work? Audio is everything. People will watch a video with average visuals, but they won’t stick around for bad audio. Getting it right the first time saves you from a headache later.

Yesterday was an incredible day for an incredible couple 🥰

I met Aileen through business mentoring (highly recommend Meraki Business Solutions btw!!) and funnily enough, she was getting married soon! Fast forward 7 months and the big day is now over, but boy was it a good one!

2023 is set to be an exciting year with becoming Rotary Club of Casey President in July, potential photo walks in the making (Lorena Jane Events 😉) and I hope to travel overseas at some point.
Thanks to Sam of Core.Energy.Fitness for helping me lose 30kg over the year (and a bit)!!!
