🚨 QUEENSLAND — LAST DAY TO SIGN 🐾🐶🐱

Today is the last day to sign the Queensland petition calling for better regulation of animal boarding facilities.

If you are in Queensland and haven't signed yet, please take a couple of minutes to add your name.

Like us, many pet guardians simply assume that when we leave our companion pets in someone else's care, all the necessary protections, standards and checks are already in place. Sadly, this is not the case !

There are some wonderful people working in the pet boarding industry, but we have also seen far too many companion pets injured, lost or who have never come home from care.

This petition is an important opportunity to show the Queensland Government that our community wants change.

Please sign, and just as importantly, share it with your Queensland family and friends today.

🐾 ❤️ R U OK? Day ❤️ 🐾

Today is a good reminder to check in on the people around us.

Sometimes just asking “Are you OK?” can mean a lot.

We know first hand how important support is. Losing Evie and Waffie were two very different experiences. Evie’s death was sudden and very traumatic, while with Waffie we knew our beautiful old girl was getting older and our time with her was coming to an end.

Through both, we had people who checked in on us, sent a message, gave us a hug or were simply there when we needed them. Those little things really do matter. ❤️

So check in on someone today, and keep checking in. Send that message, make that phone call or catch up for a cuppa

Happy Father’s Day to all the dog dads, cat dads, horsey dads and dads to our feathered and scaly companions 🐶🐱🐴🐦🐢

And also to all the wonderful foster dads who open their homes and hearts to companion pets while they wait for their forever families💗

From our previous post - the 5th pup has now been found! All five pups are now safe in the care of Save A Paw NT.

What an awesome effort from everyone involved in searching, sharing and helping to bring these little ones to safety.

Such a wonderful outcome 🐾💜

Just heartbreaking 💔🐾

Four of these little pups are now safe, but one is still out there scared and alone.

Please keep a look out around the Bees Creek/Jenkins Road area and contact Save A Paw NT with any sightings. Please don’t chase the pup. Food and water have been left.

A huge thank you to the kind people who found these pups and stopped to help them, and to Save A Paw NT for all the fantastic work you do for animals in our community ❤️🐾

📣 ATTENTION QUEENSLAND FOLLOWERS 🐾

Evie’s Bark strongly supports the Animal Justice Party Queensland petition calling for stronger regulation across the pet boarding industry.

Sadly, across Australia we have seen far too many companion animals injured, lost or who have never come home from care 😔

Families deserve confidence that when they entrust their companions to someone else, they will be kept safe and receive the care they deserve.

This is why Evie's Bark continues to raise awareness, support pet guardians and advocate for positive change so other families don’t experience the heartbreak we have.

Our companions are family. They deserve to be protected. ❤️🐾

Today we remember all the beautiful companions who are no longer with us.

Those who grew old by our side Those we lost far too soon and
Those who sadly never came home from care.

They were never just pets
They were never just our personal property.
They were our companions, our family, and they mattered.

For everyone missing someone special today, we are thinking of you.
