The existing Mascot Headquarters for Qantas has been transformed from an aging 1980’s facility into an A grade corporate campus, with a new stunning atrium structure linking 3 existing buildings. The glazing, operable louvres and automatic doors were designed and installation by AGP.

As part of the 30 year old Law Courts building at Queens Square, Sydney extensive external and internal building refurbishment, AGP was awarded the contract for the ground floor lobby facade works.

Although AGPs works were completed and the newly refurbished Law Courts lobby opened on 31st January 2012, the external hoardings have only just recently been removed to reveal the striking new façade.

As the principal glazing contractor, AGP was responsible for the 8.2m high glass assemblies, supported by aluminium clad steel mullions, to all three sides of the lobby ; 4 off automatic sliding door entries, with the highlight glazing supported by cantilevered glass fins ; internal lift lobby screens ; and an AGP Secured Exit Lane system, to provide free egress from the building, whilst not allowing people to enter.

In conjunction with leading construction company Mirvac, AGP has developed a new frameless glass centre-pivoted louvre system for their latest apartment development in Chatswood NSW - www.erabymirvac.com.au.

Unlike the Fineline System, AGP Centaline uses polycarbonate louvre arms with an external linkage mechanism. This allows the system to be manually operated and can be installed off any type of mullion framing system. Large glass louvre spans up to 1500mm can still be achieved using 12mm toughened or toughened laminated glass.

For this particular louvre area, overlooking the train line, the opening of the glass louvres needed to be restricted to 80mm to meet Railcorp requirements. Louvre areas opening to 90 degrees will be completed in the coming months.
