My alarm went off with no sound this morning ⏰ so 40 minutes later I wake up... RUUUSSSHHHHH... to get ready for Logan Women in Business. I think to myself 💭 maybe I won't go now that I'm running late. But I 🫸push through.

10 minutes in to the 45 minute drive, a MASSIVE downpour of rain 🌧. And those who know me well, will know how hesitant I am with driving, especially in the rain. So I think to myself 💭 where can I turn around and head back home? But I 🫸push through.

Not 30 seconds later that downpour disappears and its blue skies. 🌧🌦⛅️☀️

So I arrive. Early. To new faces, pleasant personalities, vibrant ladies, delightful conversations and some dear friends. And jolly good coffee ☕

And, pleasantly surprised with a rewarding reminder for
🫸pushing through🫷

My lesson: It always pays to push through. Eventually. 🏆💫

Got a Moment for Monday?

Well, January flew on by - didn't it? 🚀
With the first month of 2024 already gone, I've finally taken a moment to reflect 💫 on last year!
✨
I do journal and find it a great tool for reflection. I do also TRY to actively change & grow... perhaps improve with age like a fine 🍷... so journalling helps me remember the key moments.
✨
Without spilling the details of how this lesson was learned... in fact it's been a slow progression this one... my takeaway from 2023 is to "speak less and listen more". Here's the thing about listening...
✨
First, we hear. (That alone sometimes takes extra effort and clever manouvering for me)
Second, we listen. (Hearing is to perceive a sound, while listening is to pay attention)
Third, we understand. (That should be the aim at the very least)
Finally, we take action. (Ideally a positive action)
