CALLOUT FOR VOLUME 17 ISSUE #6: Nostalgia 📼🎞️🖤

Nostalgia. A double edged sword that might elicit either heartfelt or painful memories from the past.

Luke Hemmings’ 2024 solo tour was called Nostalgia for a Time That Never Existed, and much of Hemmings’ music centres around memories and looking back on the past. And as humans we tend to always look back on things, things that aren’t tangible and might not have even been there.

For Grapeshot’s last issue of 2025 we invite you to explore the things that contribute to your own feeling of nostalgia, things that you don’t quite have a grasp on but you continue to hold close to your heart for dear life. This could be a movie review for a childhood favourite, an opinion piece on why the PS2 is the best console to exist, or a piece about the power of memories, the good and bad. The options are endless, and we are excited to hear about the things that make you yearn for a different time.

Grapeshot accepts everything from feature articles to news pieces, short fiction, guides, comics, artworks, poetry, photographs, reviews, essays, memoirs and more – so get creative and feel free to DM us with any questions!
