Farewell… for now!
We have had so much fun over the last two years coming up with creative ways to showcase Adelaide’s local talent. Our CD vending machine on the Magill campus was a standout project but it’s time for a new university and all new projects for the UniCast Radio Club.
We want to thank all the artists tagged on the third slide for getting involved as well as those that we didn’t get the chance to work with yet. We also owe a huge thanks to the UniSA and USASA staff that steered us on this journey.
And, of course, we owe the machine’s success to the students who made a purchase to support local music. We know that it’s a tough time financially to be a uni student, so we appreciate your enthusiasm.
So, what next?
Neelu 2.0 (we named the machine after our station director!) will be temporarily inactive so that the 2026 UniCast committee have time to think of their very own creative ways to serve the student cohort. Keep an eye on our social media pages to see what they come up with.
As always, tune into UniCast Radio via the link in our bio and… LONG LIVE PHYSICAL MEDIA!!!
