✨ Raising Kids Away From “Home” ✨
No one really tells you how hard it feels raising kids far from your hometown.
You don’t have your mum a 5-minute drive away to drop in with adobo or babysit when you just need a break. No titas and cousins to fill the living room with noise on weekends. No familiar streets where you grew up, no instant village.
Instead—it’s you, your little family, and a whole lot of figuring it out.
There are days it feels heavy… when you wish your kids could grow up surrounded by the same chaos and love you did. 💔
But then… the smiles.
The way your kids light up when they make a new friend. The random dance parties in the kitchen when homesickness hits. The traditions you’re building—your own version of “home” in a place that once felt foreign.
