3 Things I Wish I Did Before Starting My Business
👉🏽 I wish I started social media right away.
I fell in love with photography and video at 16—back in 2011, when social media was just taking off. But did I think of building a business then? Nope. I could have started growing a community from day one, but I didn’t.
Why? I was shy. I hated being in front of the camera. And honestly? I was afraid my friends would laugh at me. (Ridiculous, right?)
👉🏽 I wish I had worked on my customer service skills.
I’ve always wanted to turn my passion into a career, but I never thought about customer service as part of the equation. Turns out, it’s one of the most valuable skills in business. Sometimes, you have to do what you don’t love to get to where you want to be.
👉🏽 I wish I paid more attention to finance and economics.
Skipping maths and economics classes? Big mistake. Finances are the backbone of any business, and to this day, managing money is something I struggle with. If I had taken it more seriously earlier, I would have saved myself a lot of headaches.
These are some of my biggest regrets—but they haven’t stopped me from moving forward. The older you get, the wiser you become. And if my mistakes can help someone else avoid them, then at least they served a purpose. 😊
