đ Simplify Christmas: Start with a Plan
A few years ago, I remember rushing around the week before Christmas. I hadnât planned properly, and the stress hit me like a freight train. There were presents I still needed to buy, food to prepare, and the house was a mess. By the time Christmas Day arrived, I felt exhausted instead of excited.
That year taught me an important lesson: Christmas shouldnât feel like a marathon. So, now, every year in early December, I sit down on a Sunday with a cup of tea, a notebook, and a pen. I write down everything that needs to happen before Christmas:
đ Presents to buy (and for whom!)
𼧠Food to bake or prepare
đď¸ People to see or visit
𧚠Cleaning and decorating tasks
Once itâs all on paper, I create a timetable and spread the tasks out over the next two weeks. This simple process has transformed the holidays for me. By tackling a little bit each day, I can avoid last-minute panic and actually enjoy the festive season.
⨠The lesson Iâve learned is this: Planning ahead removes stress and helps you focus on the joy of the season. Youâll feel calmer, more in control, and better able to enjoy the moments that matter.
So, why not start today? Take 15 minutes to write your list, and youâll thank yourself later! đ
