In 2023, I presented to the A2IM Conference and the Recording Academy, the first fully rendered CGI-AI Music Video made. The song is called: "Sunset"

The Music is all human made, but the Music Video was a series of images generated by our first server we placed in our Melbourne Studio that rendered images from pictures we had taken and then animated it with lookalike celebrities.

To say that it had received mixed response is an understatement. And it still gets all kinds of hate and praise, depending on which way you looked at the advancement of animation.

To date, the song gets about 150,000 streams every month globally, and it's been on over 1100+ radio stations all over the world.

One thing I was never comfortable with though, is the "likeness" of celebrities the video server generated in the original clip. I discussed with a notable Aussie lawyer the ramifications of "likeness" because only 3 years ago, there weren't any laws on it. The example was used by the Recording Academy that worked on a path all the way up to US congress to pass laws where today, people's likeness can be protected from AI, or as Trump labelled it "Genius Intelligence".
So out of a thing that created controversy, something good came about which is ramping up to protect known people from AI repurposing without permission.

Today, I booted up the new server array with a fresh new generator and database, and the array is all offline, so it only works with data we put into it, and it doesn't plagiarise or infringe anyone's image that has not had data entered in without permission. Not only that, but the workflow process and imaging this new array does, is nothing short of stunning.

A NEW Music Video to "SUNSET" is currently in studio for a complete re-visit. It's using the latest cutting-edge animation available today. While the whole process has now pushed out to 48 studio hours (vs maybe a half day shoot and editing), the quality and epicness is unrivalled.

Here's a fun fact you probably did'nt realise: NO!! CGI/AI rendering isn't quicker than standard Video shooting, and it's certainly not cheaper, but the dramatic impact sets new benchmarks in quality Music Video productions, so that people watch them for longer.

Morning all!
As promised, here's the streaming stats for the past 30 days.
Made 8 charts - Top 50 in UK Spotify/Apple Music

What struck me was the huge take-up of "Missing" (Tech House Mix) - and that only came out last FRIDAY!

Thanks to everyone who is supporting my stuff, especially Australian, Norwegian, UK and US DJs, who are the lifeblood of my popularity. You all have great taste, and I bet your DJ set sounds fresh and unique too (because you're not just playing those "chart" tracks!)

note: followers = how many more people started following me in the past month. etc

And for those wondering, 1.65 million streams (when it pays out, in 3-6 months' time) will cover my utility bills for the month. Won't even cover food or rent. 😞

Day #1 of the shoot for the movie, and folks back home don't believe they still build using bamboo! So, here's proof..and no i didn't jump this roof for real, but you know where this is heading don't you!?
