I wasn’t confident when I started
I was terrified

Terrified I’d waste money.
That I’d fail in front of everyone

That people would roll their eyes and think,
“Oh look, another girl trying to sell something online…”

I didn’t know what I was doing.
I wasn’t techy. I didn’t even know what a funnel was.
I just knew one thing:
I couldn’t keep living like that

Clocking in. Counting sick days.
Living for Sunday arvo wine just to quiet the dread.

You don’t need to be confident to start.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need to want something different enough to say “stuff it”
and go all in anyway.

That was me.

✨Employed me vs Salon owner me vs Me now✨

➡️Public holiday
Employed: Yay! A paid day off.
Salon owner: Nooo not again, now I’ve got to move 3 clients and lose a day of income.
Me now: Take it or leave it. I’m earning online and the internet doesn’t close.

➡️Client cancels
Employed: Oh well, more time for lunch.
Salon owner: Crap. There goes that gap I needed to hit my target.
Me now: I don’t rely on clients anymore.

➡️Social media
Employed: “Why doesn’t the owner post more to promote me?”
Salon owner: “I’ll post after dinner… actually maybe tomorrow.”
Me now: One ad. Running 24/7. Brings in leads while I sleep.

➡️Stock
Employed: “Ugh, we’re out of that colour again.”
Salon owner: “That’s a $400 order I didn’t plan for this week.”
Me now: No stock. No stress. Just commission.

➡️Sick day
Employed: “I’ve got a few left to use.”
Salon owner: “Am I sick enough to cancel everyone and lose the whole day’s income?”
Me now: I can rest. And I still get paid.

I used to cry on Sunday nights…
Not a cute “I’m tired” cry…
A full-blown, heart-tight, chest-heavy panic cry

Because Monday meant doing it all over again.
The rushing. The dropping my kid off while wiping away guilt

The fake smile at work. The mental gymnastics of trying to be “fine.”

I’d scroll and see women living life on their terms.

Traveling. Earning. Smiling for real

And I’d think… “I missed the boat.”

But the truth?
There’s no boat
You build it. Piece by messy piece

And that’s what I did.

Not perfectly
Not confidently
But consistently

When I first told my friend about what I was doing, she laughed😂😂
