Air Berlin cancels Venice to Düsseldorf flight on Sunday 30 May, and they forgot to tell anyone or make arrangements for stranded passengers. They have no staff or help or office or anything or anyway of helping you at Venice Marco Polo airport. They did not answer any repeated calls to their phones yesterday. They get 0/10 for service and public relations. I had to book another flight to Germany, but could only get to Munich!? Then train (7.5 hrs) to Düsseldorf.

Food that feeds millions considered a security risk...
Vegemite, energy food and humble breakfast spread to millions of Australians was considered a security risk at a baggage checkpoint at Helsinki airport, yesterday. My constant travelling companion, tube of travellers Vegemite, was confiscated and resigned to the rubbish bin, as the quantity was over the limit. The black paste was thought to be an extreme hazard and chucked away! My poor little tube of Vegemite had been unceremoniously thrown away without so much as a decent trial or defence... 😩
Helsinki airport is now Hell-Stinki and on my never to return to or visit again list. They are so far north they have forgotten good manners, how to smile and make friends. Away with them I say...
