Nothing to do with photos but very interesting.

I recommend to all my clients to use a password manager such as Dashlane or Lastpass because passwords are so complex these days. I also recommend sharing the master password with a trusted person so they can access your digital assets when you can’t. Even if you leave it in an envelope for them or possibly even as an attachment to the will.

A computer can crack a password of 8 letters instantly but it would take 34,000 years to crack a 12-character password of upper case letters, symbols and numbers.

Part of my work is to help gathering a client's digital photos. Typically, these are stored on all sorts of newer and older devices. CDs and DVDs are typical and unfortunately, not all are in good condition. Luckily, I was able to clean those ones so that I could actually grab the photos that were stored on them before it's too late. Have you still got CDs and DVDs with photos stored on them?
