***Subtitled screenings this week***
Subtitled movies this week include “Primavera” and “The Captive”.
Different centuries, different struggles, and different languages, but they share a powerful idea: creativity cannot be locked up.
***Primavera (Italian, French, and some Latin. English subtitled)***
Set in 18th-century Venice, a talented student is set free by the music and revolutionary teaching of Antonio Vivaldi. The film shows how creativity can break through barriers.
***The Captive (Spanish. English subtitled)***
An historical drama following Miguel de Cervantes (the author of Don Quixote) as he uses the power of storytelling to survive captivity in Algiers: his imagination remains free, even though he does not.
Check our website for session times and locations after our Wednesday morning update. All English open captioned and subtitled films we have found screening across Australia are listed.
