The Beatles would often stay late into the night recording at EMI, and in classic British fashion, that meant plenty of tea.
Giles Martin recalled: “EMI locked the fridge, so they broke the lock on the fridge in order to get milk for the tea.”
He also remembered one night while they were recording Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds: “John had disappeared and he was up on the roof looking up at the stars.”
