Thank you all for being apart of the Sole Canopy journey so far. It's been a crazy year from the excitements of the studios first releases to the exhaustion of dealing with a corrupt builder. Posting regularly on instagram has been a huge learning curve and I'm pretty poop'd. So I might take a break till next year. If you don't see of hear from me...I'll be back.

I pray you have a wonderful Christmas and that the New Year finds you artistically more courageous than the last.

Undoubtedly Miles has been in Sole Canopy more than anyone else since even before it was Sole Canopy. He has worked with me on my Jon Cotton project, he was a huge contributor on S.J. Lones project, he worked on Paul Salems single and now he is writing his and recording his own EP. He did a cracker job of the songwriting and we made some killer demo's. Really excite to knuckle down into the production with the band!!

35mm dump.

For a small studio there are lots of curios nooks at Sole Canopy. I tried to capture some of them on film and the photos didn't turn out great. So I'm sharing them. Each and every one of the items in these pictures has a story behind it. An adventure, a prize, a piece of childhood, a piece of my home country, an heirloom. You know you don't even have to ask I'll probably just tell you the story weather you want to hear it or not. I love stories!!

The last On The Spot for the year went up last Friday feat Anita.

I said it then but I'll say it again I am SO GRATEFUL for everyone who came and collaborated with me. A dream come true. Can't wait to do it all again!!

But for now I'm tired.

We have reached the end of season 1 of On the Spot and I do so with this song, the second jam with the wonderful Anita.

I had planned to overdub drums and bass and all sorts of things for this track after Anita left but I never got round it and when I got to mixing keeping it simple felt like the perfect way to end the undertaking that has been On the Spot.

Thank you Anita for this final track and thank you to all the musicians who graced the studio and trusted me with their creative process.
