This is why we need councils and governments to make policy changes. Women over 50 are the fastest growing cohort of humans facing homelessness yet councils and governments aren't moving quick enough to have any impact on the housing crisis. It's very frustrating and disappointing.

Hey Merci Co News 🫶🏻

Community is our jam here at Hey Merci Co and just in case you didn't know, our long term vision is to create a sustainable community living space here on the Fleurieu. So exciting and necessary.

For now our upcoming community activities are.

Swims - 7am Thursday mornings at Silver Sands Beach.
Bring a mug for a post swim cuppa and warm up.
Warm clothes and footwear (boy the sand is getting cold) is suggested.
The swim crew is just magic, full of wonderful humans, so come get amongst it.
Our goal is to swim all the way through winter. 🌊🥶

Craft Arvo - 2pm - 5pm Saturday June 1st 2024 - Silver Sands location.
Using our hands helps our brains! It's science.
So during these afternoons we get our hands busy either on a personal project or with community blanket making.
$25 ph including afternoon tea and all community project materials. You can book through Hey Merci Cosy Crafts
Pay on the day by cash or EFT.

Hikes - 12pm Saturday June 8th 2024 - Kyeema Conservation Park.
Connection with nature. Aaaaaah what a soul soother.
Meet Merci 🚐 & me at the carpark on Woodgate Hill Road for a hike around this beautiful park. It's a loop of just under 6kms, a bit steep in places but pretty easy.
Bring a mug for a post hike cuppa and a chair if you'd like.
We'll be providing our famous savoury slice for sustenance.
