to our award-winning animation project, ROBOROVSKI, directed by Dev Patel and Tilda Cobham-Hervey! This eponymous thimble-sized hamster stole our hearts with his quest to find a family, but when constant rejection took its toll, he took a dark turn. The result? A darkly comedic short film that won the 2021 Flickerfest award for Best Australian Short Animation

👋 Meet our founder, Mark Grentell ! 🎬 After graduating from NIDA with a postgrad degree in directing studies, Mark directed & co-wrote Backyard Ashes The Movie & The Merger, which screened at the Melbourne International Film Festival Centrepiece Gala and toured worldwide to critical acclaim. He's also a specialist in musical theatre, having worked as Resident Director on Avenue Q (Arts Asia Pacific), Spring Awakening (Sydney Theatre Company), Rock of Ages (newtheatricals) & Doctor Zhivago (GFO).

🚀 Mark's passion for innovative technology led him to co-found Spectre Studios in 2016, now known as - Australia's leading virtual production studio 💻 Those who work with Mark love his caring spirit, great sense of humour, and endless dedication, resilience and perseverance. 💪
