As part of her disability, Ash was born without a bladder and has lived with a stoma for almost all of her life.

What's a stoma?

A stoma is a surgically created opening on the abdomen that allows waste to leave the body when the bladder or bowel can't function in the usual way.

It's something that has always been part of Ash's everyday life, and through What Comes Next, she's passionate about helping people better understand her disability and encouraging open conversations ✨

Long before there was friendship, surrogacy, James, or What Comes Next, there were our mums.

They met through work and quickly became close friends, unknowingly setting in motion a chain of events that would eventually bring us together.

When we look at our story, it’s impossible not to look back at theirs too. Without their friendship, we wouldn’t have this incredible journey, this podcast, or these memories to share.
