🚨ULLADULLA IMPORTANT UPDATE 🚨

Hey legends,

After detailed discussions with our management team, the event promoter, venue staff and after listening to heaps of feedback from all of you, we’ve made the call to move this Saturday’s show from 12pm to 8pm.

We completely understand this might affect a few plans, and we’re really sorry for any inconvenience. This decision wasn’t made lightly, but the message from you guys was clear: an evening show will deliver the best energy, atmosphere, and overall experience for everyone.

Thanks so much for your patience, support, and input, it truly helps shape what we do. We can’t wait to light up the stage Saturday night for one massive show!

🚨 Calling Out Gatekeeping in Our Industry 🚨

This isn’t a post we wanted to make, but it’s one we feel we must.

Tonight, messages were relayed to BlackWire Entertainment via a third party, sent from a very prominent Newcastle Entertainment Agency owner (whose name we have chosen not to disclose on this occasion).

These messages questioned why we commented on a room they manage, framing it as though a simple social media interaction was a calculated attack on their business. This is agency paranoia, harassment, and venue gatekeeping in action.

BlackWire Entertainment was founded in response to these EXACT mob-style tactics that some agencies still employ - dangling opportunities like carrots, penalising acts or stakeholders who don’t follow their made up rules, and holding back livelihoods and careers to serve their own egos.

👉 We exist to challenge these toxic norms.
👉 We stand against gatekeeper politics and will call them out every time.
👉 We believe in creating an open, supportive industry.

This is a clear example of the very behaviour that prevents acts from growing and venues from thriving. A strong music community is built on freedom, not fear. Don’t let anyone dictate who you can or cannot engage with, you are your own entity and voice.
