of Nepal - childhood is often threatened by
"loss, migration, and vanishing certainties."
Here, geography dictates destiny. When
confronted by this harsh landscape, what
do children dream of? What brings them
joy, and how far do they travel for it?
'The Silent Echo' is director Suman Sen's
attempt to wisten to children growing opin
a landscape where natureis both guardian and threat."
The film follows the journey of four young friends from Mustang who are determined
to navigate the practical obstacles to
achieve one big dream - winning a band competition in a distant town. Despite the
bleak conditions, the children share inner
worlds which remain tender and playful.
