CALIBRATION DAMAGE
noun.
The loss of trust in your own perception after prolonged contradiction exposure.
You saw it.
You felt it.
You noticed it.
Then someone explained it away often enough that eventually you stopped trusting the witness.
You.
The strange part is that the damage rarely looks dramatic.
It looks like second-guessing.
It looks like hesitation.
It looks like asking other people for permission to believe your own eyes.
STATIC DUST
Gaslight Echo:
When truth returns distorted as if it was never spoken at all.
Save for later.
