📍 WHERE IT’S AT
Severe Tropical Cyclone Narelle is now a Category 4 system moving southwest at ~19 km/h, currently just off the coast near Exmouth and Onslow.

👉 It is passing close to the North West Cape and beginning to track south, with impacts already unfolding.

🚨 ‼️ OFFICIAL WARNING (BOM – TOP PRIORITY)

⚠️ WARNING ZONE:
From Onslow → Jurien Bay
Including:
Exmouth, Coral Bay, Carnarvon, Denham, Geraldton
Extending inland to Pannawonica, Murchison, Dalwallinu

👉 NO WATCH ZONE — this is already impacting

💨 WHAT THAT MEANS (REAL NUMBERS)

• Sustained winds near centre: 185 km/h
• Wind gusts: up to 260–275 km/h near the core
• VERY DESTRUCTIVE winds already occurring between North West Cape and Onslow

👉 This is a high-end Category 4 system actively impacting the coast

📏 SIZE MATTERS (THIS ONE IS MASSIVE)

This is a large, spreading system — not a tight cyclone.

👉 Which means:
• Impacts extending hundreds of kilometres
• You do NOT need a direct hit
• Conditions already spreading well south

Moving at ~19 km/h and tracking south.

👉 Translation:
• Prolonged exposure to damaging winds
• Rain bands hitting the same areas repeatedly
• Increasing flash flooding risk

🌊 Denham / Shark Bay
• Severe impacts building
• Wind gusts up to 180 km/h late Friday / early Saturday

🌧️ Kalbarri → Geraldton
• Strong winds + squally rain developing
• Conditions worsening through today

🌬️ Perth / Metro / Wanneroo
• Not a direct hit
• BUT: heavy rain, storms + gusty winds
• Flooding risk increases into Saturday

🌊 ‼️ MAJOR COASTAL WARNING

👉 Between Onslow and Denham:
• VERY DANGEROUS STORM TIDE
• Water levels well above normal high tide
• Damaging waves + coastal flooding likely

👉 This is life-threatening coastal behaviour — not for watching.

🌧️ RAIN & FLOODING

• Heavy rainfall across Pilbara, Gascoyne & Central West
• Intense rainfall zones → severe flash flooding
• Rain bands pushing south through the day

• Now → Morning: Extreme conditions Pilbara coast
• Today (Friday): Impacts spreading south to Carnarvon & Denham
• Saturday: System weakens but expands impacts inland + south
• Strongest winds shift to eastern side of system
