Over the years, one of the questions I’ve been asked more than almost any other is, “What should I pack?”

So, I’ve put together a simple checklist of the things I always recommend taking on that first swing. Hopefully it helps make your first trip away from home a little less daunting.

🎤 INTERVIEW TIP #1

I once walked into an interview feeling incredibly well prepared.

I’d studied the role, thought about the questions they might ask, and made sure I could demonstrate that I met every requirement.

Then they asked me one simple question…

“What do you know about our company and the products we offer?”

Silence.

I’d spent so much time preparing for the job that I’d forgotten to prepare for the company.

It was a lesson I’ve never forgotten.

Now, before every interview, I always make time to learn about the organisation I’m hoping to join.

Recruiters notice when you’ve taken the time to understand who they are—not just what the job involves.

Sometimes, it’s the simplest questions that leave the biggest impression.
