Episode #6 – Breaking Point of The Spark of a Dream: A Wrestling Story is now live on Patreon, bringing the series to its final chapter.

After months of training, preparation, and sacrifice, Tom faces the most important test of his wrestling journey — the EPW grading session overseen by veteran Damian Slater. The pressure is immense as he pushes his body to the limit, hoping to prove he’s ready to step fully into the ring.

At the same time, Tom begins his first storyline alongside Jordan Bishop, marking the transition from referee to wrestler. It’s the moment everything has been building towards.

But in wrestling, nothing ever goes exactly as planned.

Breaking Point captures the physical toll, the emotional stakes, and the reality of chasing a dream that demands everything.

This episode closes the first chapter of The Spark of a Dream — and I couldn’t be more proud of the journey we captured.

A new episode of The Spark of a Dream: A Wrestling Story has just dropped on Patreon.

This chapter shifts the focus away from the spectacle of the ring and into the personal side of the journey. We meet Tom’s family and explore where his passion for wrestling really began — the roots of a dream that’s been years in the making.

As Tom prepares for his training show debut, the pressure builds. Costumes, character work, and intense training sessions all come together as he pushes himself closer to the moment he’s been working towards. Invite-only practice events test his readiness while he sets his sights on **EPW’s Game Over: Night Two** — the challenge that has driven months of preparation.

It’s a quieter episode, but an important one.

Low key… it might be my favourite episode of the series.

Honoured to share that The Femme Fatales of West Australian Wrestling has received an Honorable Mention from the Assurdo Film Festival.

Huge thanks to the festival jury for recognising the film’s creativity and spirit. It’s always encouraging to see the stories of Western Australian wrestlers resonating with audiences beyond our local scene.

This documentary celebrates the strength, performance, and passion of the incredible women helping shape the WA wrestling community — and it’s great to see their stories travelling internationally.

While this recognition is part of the festival’s monthly awards and not the official annual selection, I’m grateful the film was acknowledged among this month’s submissions.

From improvised weapons to extreme venues, Michelle reflects on the boundary-pushing style that defines this hardcore promotion. At the same time, we follow Tom, who keeps both shows running as referee, as he is presented with a career-defining opportunity by seasoned wrestler Hayden Zenith — a chance he simply can’t pass up.

Tom’s journey shows how every role, whether in the ring or enforcing the rules, contributes to the shared dream that keeps independent wrestling alive in WA.
