Most business owners know that systemising their business is a good idea.

In fact, if you do a task without writing it down, you're going to be destined to repeat it forever.

So why do most business owners never get around to systemising their business?

There are two main reasons:
1) They are too busy and caught up in the day to day;
2) They feel it’s too hard and are not sure where to start

So to get you started, in this video I share three things to help you start systemising your business today.

By following these you can systemise your business quickly and be one step closer to having more freedom in your business.

💼 5 Tips to Instantly Reclaim 5-10 Hours in Your Week 💼

As a business owner, your time is your most valuable asset.

But how often do you find yourself caught up in the day-to-day whirlwind, feeling like there’s never enough time to get everything done?

You're not alone. Many business owners face this same challenge, and it's one of the biggest obstacles to achieving sustainable growth and a better work-life balance.

Here are five powerful steps to help you regain control over your time, reduce stress, and create a more productive week:

1️⃣ Turn Off Notifications:
Notifications might seem harmless, but they’re one of the biggest productivity killers. Each time your phone pings or an email pops up, it distracts you from what you’re doing, breaking your focus and costing you valuable time. Try setting specific times to check emails and social media instead of reacting to every notification as it comes.

2️⃣ Make Yourself Less Available:
Not every call, email, or visit needs your immediate attention. Set boundaries by turning off your phone or diverting calls when you’re focused on critical tasks. Let your team and clients know when you are available, and stick to those times. This way, you create space for the deep, strategic work that drives your business forward.

3️⃣ Create an Interruption-Free Zone:
Protect parts of your day from interruptions. Whether it's closing your office door, turning off your phone, or even putting up a ‘do not disturb’ sign, make sure you have dedicated time where you can work interrupted. This is your time to tackle your most important tasks with complete focus.

4️⃣ Plan Your Week Before It Starts:
Without a plan, it's easy to get caught up in minor tasks or spend hours putting out fires. Take 20-30 minutes at the end of each week to map out your priorities for the next one. Set clear goals, schedule high-impact tasks, and block out time for focused work. This proactive approach can save you hours of reactive work throughout the week.

5️⃣ Eat a Frog for Breakfast:
Tackle your most daunting task first thing in the morning – the one you’re most likely to put off. This “eat the frog” approach, inspired by Brian Tracy’s productivity principle, helps you overcome procrastination and sets a positive tone for the rest of your day.

By using these simple time management techniques, you can avoid the trap of endless busyness and start focusing on what truly matters – whether that's growing your business or spending quality time with your loved ones.

Remember, it’s not about doing more; it’s about doing what is important most.

Let’s make every minute count this week!

Struggling to find the right staff for your business?

Finding decent, reliable staff can be one of the biggest challenges as a business owner.

The right team can reduce your stress and help your grow your business

Here’s 7 simple tactics that can help make your next hire your best yet 👌

1. Implement a Deselection Process: Filter out unsuitable candidates early with a well-crafted job ad that speaks directly to your ideal hire.

2. Define Your Ideal Candidate: Know exactly who you’re looking for by creating a detailed profile of your perfect candidate.

3. Make Your Job Ad Stand Out: Treat your job ad like a marketing campaign—make it compelling and targeted.

4. Highlight Your Company’s Strengths: Show why your business is a great place to work, beyond just the paycheck.

5. Leverage Group Interviews: Save time and gain insights by assessing multiple candidates in a group setting.

6. Always Be Recruiting: Build a talent pool by regularly engaging with potential candidates.

7. Hire for Attitude, Train for Skills: Prioritise attitude and personality over technical skills. You can train skills but it is very hard to change attitude.

By applying these, you'll build a strong team that will help drive your business forward.

Our Story

Gavin Bassett and Rueben Taylor are passionate about small business.

Having coached and mentored hundreds of small businesses over the past 19 years they have seen firsthand how too many small business owners start out not really knowing the ropes and get into way more trouble than they should …

You see most small business owners are really good at their trade or profession but were never really taught how to run a business. So they don’t know what they don’t know and end up working harder and longer trying to figure out how it is all supposed to work … and statistics tell us 80% of them end up failing … leaving a mess in their wake.

This is not good for them, or their industry.
