From Analogue to Algorithms
Post #2: Baby Boomer vs Online Business

Lost in Rabbit Holes

Being busy isn’t the same as being productive.

Starting a business in the online space, I felt like Alice tumbling headfirst into Wonderland. One minute I was excited about the possibilities; freedom, flexibility and the chance to create something of my own.

The next, I was spinning through a maze of confusion where nothing seemed to make sense. Running faster and faster, but never reaching the finish line. I was doing a lot, but not always moving forward.

I would go searching for one simple answer and end up hours later, still clicking, still scrolling, still no clearer. Everywhere I turned, new words and acronyms popped up, funnels, CTAs, TOF, M*F, BOF, attraction marketing, algorithms.

It was overwhelming. More than once, I caught myself wondering: “Do I even belong here?”

But then I discovered every rabbit hole taught me something I did not know I needed. I learned resilience when things failed. I discovered creativity as I started finding my authentic voice. I became adaptable because the online world never stands still.

It was messy. It was frustrating. But it was also exhilarating. The more twists and turns I faced, the braver and stronger I became. Like Alice, I realised that confusion is not the end of the story, it is part of the adventure.

I know so many of us stepping into online business for the first time, will get lost in rabbit holes. Most of us feel the same frustration, the same self-doubt, the same endless detours. Yet, just like Alice, we also grow wiser, stronger, and more prepared for bigger wins.

✨ Because rabbit holes are not failures, they are lessons in disguise.

🔥We didn’t grow up digital, but we can still thrive digital.

👉 Ever found yourself lost online, chasing detours? Drop a 🐇 if you get it.

✨ Spring is a season of renewal. My garden bursts into colour, reminding me that even after the quietest winters, life always returns with energy and purpose. 🌸
But what about us?
So many of us reach a point where the days blur together, where purpose feels lost and motivation fades.

Just like nature, we too are capable of reinvention. 🌱
New beginnings are not reserved for the young—every age, every stage, holds the power to bloom again.

If you feel like you’re just going through the motions, let this season be your reminder: your spark is still there. Waiting.

💫 This is your time to rise, to embrace fresh challenges, to rediscover the joy of living with energy and purpose.

👉 Message me if you’re ready to step into your own season of renewal. Your next chapter can start today.

I have never really felt like I fit in.

At primary school I was the one with the ideas for games and the other kids joined in - no problem!
At high school things subtly changed. I was never one of the “cool” kids.
At university I just accepted it. Others thought I was shy, and I probably was. I contributed well in tutorials and academic discussions, but small talk never came easily.

In adult life I joined sports teams and social clubs. I volunteered:
• for the admin team in community groups such as the P&C committee
• secretary or treasurer of sports clubs
• manager as well as player of the sports team
• a race director in an athletics club
• I became the manager and the mentor at work.

People liked and respected me for all the work I did. They would come to me with issues and for problem solving.

In my social life I hosted dinner parties and functions. It kept me busy with prep and serving with the perfect excuse to not fully engage in conversations. I would put in effort with menu choice and variety. People loved getting an invite.

I would take home made treats for my team-mates or the group.

I still felt I didn’t fit in. I have always been comfortable in my own company but occasionally wondered whether there was something wrong with me, with my social skills. I felt different.

Recently, having done a lot of training around my online businesses and on self-reflection I realised something profound. I could see my habitual behaviour pattern.

These roles gave me structure, a place, a reason to be there. All without the pressure of having to be effortlessly social.

It felt easier for me. Less overwhelming.

For years, I thought this was me hiding. That I was missing something others naturally had.
But now, looking back, I see it differently.

I was never hiding. I was contributing.

I created spaces for others to connect and held the pieces together in my own way. Not all belonging looks the same. Some people fit in by being the loudest voice in the room. Others find belonging by quietly building the structure that allows everyone else to shine.

If you have ever felt like you do not fit in maybe the way you contribute is exactly what makes you belong. 💖

Miniscule digital skills to running multiple online businesses
Post #1: Baby Boomer vs Online Business

The Boomer Who Said Yes

I am 71 years old, and last year I built my first online business. This year, I have added two more. I began with a clear dream and the determination to see it through. I truly believe I will succeed, and I will let nothing stop me.

When I started, my digital knowledge was limited to emails, posting on Facebook, typing in Word, and using spreadsheets. I had dabbled with PowerPoint. Not bad for being raised in an analogue world, but hardly enough to be successful in online business.

I enthusiastically began my learning journey to fill the skills gaps. I read books, listened to podcasts, joined webinars, and showed up at live presentations and Zoom calls. I spent hours, days and weeks experimenting with content creation on Canva, Vimeo, and other platforms. I got lost in rabbit holes, overwhelmed myself, and rode the roller coaster of emotions.

Yet I have loved every step of the journey. It has been fun, exhilarating, and deeply rewarding.

My biggest surprise was how this journey has transformed me; and not just my skills, but my mindset. I no longer dismiss opportunities. I embrace them. I have recognised self-sabotaging habits and reframed them into positive growth habits. I am building not just businesses, but a better version of myself.

This road has not easy. Success requires determination, consistency, and grit. But for those who stick with it, the rewards are real.

If this resonates with you, let’s connect. I would be glad to share how I am doing it — and what may be possible for you too. Message me for a chat.

Tired of saying, “I just don’t have the time or money”?
Here’s the truth: you DO. You can start with small pockets of your time. Replace scrolling on social media or watching movies/TV series to purposefully and profitably using social media.
You dream of the freedom that more time and money brings.
But if it hasn’t happened so far in your life, it won’t magically happen.
Not unless you choose to do something different now.
If you have ever told yourself:
❌ “I have no money to start.”
❌ “I don’t have time.”
❌ “I don’t have the skills.”
That’s where my free mentorship and help with my online businesses come in.
You choose which of my offers align with you best.➡️
➡️The existing self paced learning teaches you the skills.➡️
➡️I mentor and help you until you become confident and you are ready to succeed➡️
➡️The existing systems grow alongside your own consistency, to duplicate and automate so the successes continue.

Eventually, you reclaim the very time and money you feel you don’t have.
It’s not instant.
But step by step, you will move from dreaming to realizing the dream.
🌱 Short-term effort. Long-term gain.

REFLECTIONS

This is why we care for our bodies, our minds and our souls.
To keep all of these areas as healthy as possible, so we can be our best selves.
Not only to keep living new moments, but to keep holding on to the ones that matter.

Each choice we make for our health is a promise to our future self.

From Physio & Pilates Instructor to Online Businesses & Mentor

I spent over 40 years helping people move better, feel better, have more vitality and less pain.

I’ve also had side ventures — running community soccer clubs, owning businesses in agricultural production and residential construction.

I have now retired from hands-on work, and am immersed in a completely new chapter. One with more flexibility, less physical demands, and incredible fulfillment and with membership of a dynamic, supportive community.

Now in my 70's I am still strong, still thriving, and still earning, because I’ve stayed curious, open to growth, and committed to living well. I want to inspire and positively impact as many people as possible to live their best lives.

That means prioritising:
• Intentional movement.
• Nervous system regulation to stay calm and focused.
• Eating whole foods.
• High-quality supplements when diet alone isn’t enough.
• Embracing smart home wellness and detox technology
• Stepping outside my comfort zone to learn new skills
• Creating additional income streams online
• Being part of a social network where thriving, learning and being my best self is encouraged and celebrated.

Now, I bring together my experience with modern online strategy to help others:
✨ Feel strong and confident
✨ Be the healthiest version of themselves
✨ Live with more energy, purpose, and freedom
✨ To create additional income through affiliate business opportunities I’m proud to be part of

I’d be honoured to walk this next chapter with you. You don’t need formal qualifications to be your best self or create better health, or to set yourself up with a successful online income stream.

What you do need is
• to take responsibility for yourself,
• be committed, to showing up,
• challenging yourself to step out of your comfort zone
• have a growth and learning mindset.
• a total belief in your own unique wisdom and experience.
• recognise your own worth,
• your unique experience and your unique skill sets.
You need to do YOU!

So, are you ready?
💬 If any of this resonates, I’d love to connect.

From 🧊Ice Boxes, 🔥Open Fires and Walks to ... Refrigerators, Air Conditioners and eScooters — Have We Traded Connection for Convenience?
We’ve gained time, efficiency, and innovation — but what have we lost along the way?
This week, I sat in my granddaughter’s classroom, surrounded by little hands and big questions. Our class exercise was to discuss how old household items — like the ice box, washboard, and BBQ drum — had been replaced by modern conveniences. It was fun… until it hit me.
Refrigerators saved us time.
Washing machines saved us effort.
Scooters, tablets, TVs, Webers… all more efficient, all saving us time.
But what are we doing with all that time?
We now live in an age of unprecedented disconnection — loneliness, anxiety, relationship breakdown, and digital overwhelm are at all-time highs. In streamlining everything, have we also stripped life of something essential?
✨ Maybe convenience isn’t the same as happiness. Maybe efficiency has a hidden cost.
What do you think we’ve gained… and what have we lost? I’d really love to hear your thoughts below. 👇
