🗓️ Dear reader,
The end of the year brings family and friends together. For me it is often a time to re-group and reflect and review on the year.

So, for this month’s edition I would like to take you on that journey - to reflect on Ruralite for 2025 and what an amazing year it has been - full inspiration, transformation and some remarkable stories that have captured the heart of what being a Ruralite is all about.

When I set out to create Ruralite - the newsletter, I wanted to capture some of the positive stories, positive news, and real stories, with meaningful content that highlights the resilience, strength, and unique spirit of Australian women and be able to “pay it forward” and give-back to community.

Looking back at 2025, I can honestly say that this vision has come to life. But it is all thanks to you, the readers, subscribers, those who’ve reached out and nominated a Ruralite and also those who’ve re-shared this newsletter. It is wonderful to see, and I thank you for your support and kindness.

So, let’s re-cap or catchup on some of the editions you may have missed in this Special Edition of Ruralite.

Ruralite Media would like to wish all of its clients, readers, subscribers and friends a very happy holidays.

Ruralite - the newsletter has one more edition for 2025 to realise - a special edition. And we’re excited you’ll have something to read while you’re enjoying your holiday time, at the beach, relaxing by the pool or staying cool in the A/C.

📧 So stay tuned, as it will be hitting your inboxes soon.

Following that, from December 23 2025 - January 11 2026, “the office” will be closed and enjoying some down time also.

I look forward to bringing my clients compelling narratives that drive meaningful connections and impactful results. As well as giving back, by continuing to share the free e-newsletter dedicated to empowering women - and sharing inspiring stories and meaningful content that highlights their resilience, strength, and unique spirit.

“My goal is to build a loving community of families, educators, and farmers who share a passion for nature, fun, and hands-on education,” - Aunty.

Aunty’s love for agriculture and her passion for storytelling is bringing the magic of farm life to kids everywhere. In this edition she shares how her work is a reminder of the power in sharing our stories, especially those rooted in the land.

As we prepare to close out the year with our 12th edition of Ruralite - the newsletter would like to thank all our subscribers, those who’ve suggested new Ruralite from across Australia, and of course our Ruralite who shares their amazing stories with us.

What a beautiful, inspiring year it has been for the newsletter. In the Ruralite Media world too - there has been a lot of activity behind the scenes, with brand guides, social media deep dives, strategic planning, media releases and more.

Leading with heart: proving women can lead in ag 🐄
- Rachael McGrath has achieved more than many do in a lifetime, driven by a vision and passion that continue to shape the future of Australian agriculture.

Rachael is a Dairy Ambassador, the 2024 Young Dairy Leader, she’s passionate about agriculture and advocating for women in agriculture, and she also runs her family’s dairy farm.

Alongside her family, Rachael farms in Orford, south-west Victoria, milking 400–450 cows in a 40-unit rotary dairy, with stud Jerseys and Brown Swiss - it’s a rhythm of life that’s as familiar to her as the changing seasons.

“I have never really known a life outside of agriculture,” she said.

“Growing up surrounded by cows, seasons, and a strong farming community shaped who I am. Even though I’ve travelled overseas and explored other opportunities, I’ve always felt the pull back to the land.

“The rhythm of rural life and the pride in producing food for people is what keeps me rooted here.”…
