Someone on Etsy sent Pelli a Phishing link.
Pelli stared at it suspiciously -then asked me to check it.
I copied the link and pasted it into https://checkphish.ai
This returned a screenshot of the page which was made to look like a Google homepage. It wasn't.
I reported the user and deleted the message.
In honour of Cyber Security out there - especially our friends Scorpio It Security Pty Ltd we have launched a small line of phishing-themed products on our shop.
Because even pelicans know when something smells phishy.
If you ever receive a suspicious link (especially from a bird), pause, and consider:
(1) Were you expecting this message?
(2) Do you recognise the sender?
(3) Is there a weird sense of urgency?
(4) Is there a link involved?
(5) How's the spelling and grammar?
If something feels off, don't click. Report it. Block it. And remember: Pelli is watching.
New mug now available:
"Beware of Phishing" - featuring our original artwork suspicious Pelli artwork.
Comes with silent judgement and a feathered side-eye.
