Reality check from my body yesterday… 😂

These are 2 of the 4 incisions from having my lap band removed. The biggest incision is where the port was.

They used glue instead of stitches this time, which I’m guessing helps with scarring. Well… last night I felt a little rip and sure enough, a small part has opened up. 😳

Message received loud and clear:

“Helen, sit your ass down and rest for a minute!” 😂

Now I’ve got a plaster over it and I’m taking it a bit easier.

Still feeling bloated from the gas they use during surgery, and the pain is definitely still there, but one day at a time. 💜

Has anyone else had surgical glue come apart or a wound open slightly after surgery? What did you do, and did it heal okay? 👇

Breakfast tried a bit of this and that.
Heading home, Been discharged, no lifting for 2 months, all good can’t lift with my back anyways. Doesn’t want me to go to work for 2 weeks, not to drive for 2 weeks either 😮

Walked Richard out earlier but now confined to the ward as they are all locked up can’t even go to the vending machine 😂 but the lovely nurse provided me with some snacks for my night
Must be pay off for holding me against my will 🤪
And yes I bought my painting

Well thank the universe that is all done. What a day. But was all worth the wait as I ended up in the private hospital as the other was full - own room bonus 😘
