The film I edited Dinner with Dad short Film is now available to watch via Port Shorts online festival - which runs until the end of November.

$16 to get your ticket, which allows you to watch all the films submitted, including those that won on the night. (Total 38).

Tonight is Port Shorts and I am excited to attend my first event representing the film Dinner with Dad short Film which has been officially selected for the festival.

Location scouting for my short film... I have almost booked out half of Melbourne. Now I know why they pay someone to do this!

Sometimes we don't always get it right the first time. All I can say is thank god for Script Editors! Just when you think you have it right. 2 years in the making. I can finally email a piece of my heart away ... For a second time.

I know I keep banging on about my little short film. Celebrating 5 years this year! Damian Forbes took a chance on me, he went completely n**e (no pouch or sock c**k). To tell my personal story. This film isn't my strongest, it also isn't my last. I am still proud of pulling this together with NO budget and filmed in the outbacks of WA.

Another personal note:

For those that don’t know me, I was a freelance writer for Neighbours for 3 years (being paid less than $500/p/e) In that time I was living a coke lifestyle with a Gold Logie Winner (who shall remain nameless) yet that was my life. I was 21 / 22 and I didn’t know any better.

I made my own life, I ended up in the clubbing scene running venues such “Gossip Sundays”, “Priscilla” and of course “D’N’M”. I ran Melbourne’s first Gay Prom and many events. Which then lead me to JOY 94.9 and it wouldn’t be for John P Wintle who tough me a lot about radio but also about life!

Of course that this isn't just the beginning for me. This isn’t a “show off” piece and I apologise if it comes across that way. but take it it as your own motivation. From starting as nothing to feeling like you're nothing.

…I'm 37, single and I see you.

Unfortunately I have had to cancel my play to be performed here in Port Douglas. As much and as important it was for to leave a little heartbeat of creativity.

I will be taking this play to Melbourne, having already entered into a major Playwriting competition, where they help guide and support you.

It wasn't meant to be in Port Douglas, but the play will still be seen. Thanks you to those that have supported me through this small journey.

It's official!!! Dinner with Dad short Film has now been entered into Port Shorts. This is an amazing film which looks at a truthful relationship between a farther and his gay son.

This is it! A year in the making. A job I didn’t even apply for, I simply just put my hand up and so glad that my producer Aaron McDougall trusted me in this. I’ve gone over the audio so many times, I’ve corrected the colour, created more cuts… For those that have been following, this is it. The FINAL EXPORT.

As of next week Dinner with Dad short Film hits the festival circuit. I don’t know who is more nervous.

An amazing team made this happen and now you as the public get to see it!!!
