Ceduna Oyster Festival!!!

We met some people at Rawnsley Station that told us about the Oyster Festival which sounded to good to miss!!!

It was definitely worth the visit with the Oysters being amazing, the music being great and the Broncos winning the Grand Final just to finish the weekend off perfectly for me!!!

If you're looking to travel SA in October next year, put this festival on your list to do!!!..

Flinders Ranges SA.
It took a little finding but I took a pic in roughly the same spot in 2023 and 2025, the difference rain makes to the area is amazing!!!

The Flinders Ranges a few weeks ago was incredibly green.

With the rain they have received in the last few days I can imagine its going to look even better in the coming weeks and months!!!!

Driving the Nullarbor is on top of so many peoples list when they plan to travel Australia...I know it was on mine.

How did I finally get to drive it???

We had traveled up to Marree to fly over Lake Eyre. The plan was to then head south to Port Augusta, turn left and drive The Great Ocean Road........BUT......

After nearly 3 full time years on the road traveling Australia, I hadn't driven the Nullarbor......and.....2 of my Grand Kids, my daughter and Son In Law live in Perth......so instead, we thought lets turn right at Port Augusta and head west..... I rang my Son In Law, and lined up a surprise visit for my Daughter and Grand Kids and off we went......

I have to say the Nullarbor was amazing to drive, there is so much to see along the way.

I have lots of photos and video to come......but these are a few of my favorite images so far........

Big Red Bash tickets booked!!!!! Very pumped!!!

We had a look at Big Red and the event location while we were out at Birdsville Races this year, and it looks amazing!!!

If you hadn't guessed I do really love Rawnsley Park Station - Flinders Ranges.
And also the Flinders itself.....
The area has something about it that relaxes you and brings you back to earth....plus the station has some cracking campsites, ranging from powered caravan sites to bush camps, where you can find your own space to chill....the sunsets here are also amazing, with the sun lighting up the Bluff and adjacent ranges....
Throw in an amazing restaurant experience called the Woolshed Restaurant - Rawnsley Park Station where the food is exceptional and the service fantastic.....
I can't recommend this Station stay enough....

Heres a quick snip of my hike to the top of Wilpena Pound Lookout and Rawnsley Bluff....this is a cracking hike and it is so Green at the moment.

Rawnsley Park Station - Flinders Ranges. is adjacent to the amazing Rawnsley Bluff!!!

I did this hike about 2.5 years ago, and it was so good I wanted to do it again......it did seem harder back then, maybe I'm a bit fitter now then I was back then.....

The area 2.5 years ago was in drought, very brown and very different. This time the area was alive with Green grass and wild flowers blooming everywhere!!!

I took my time getting pics and still managed the 11klms return in under 5 hours according to the AllTrails app.

I hope you enjoy the pics, its an amazing hike which you should do if you're in the area.

So I've had a massive change in travel plans and instead of turning left at Port Augusta I've turned right and ended up in WA.....go figure haha.

So I have 2 x GA Tickets for sale to Ministry of Sound Classical - Brisbane for the 1st of November.
