THE ROOM DOESN'T CHANGE YOU

Something I always find fascinating after running retreats is people often try to explain what happened.

And honestly, sometimes it's hard to put into words.

Because from the outside people see the location, the activities, the conversations, the photos, the moments.

But that's not really the thing that creates the shift.

The environment simply creates the space for people to finally see themselves without all the usual noise.

The routines.

The distractions.

The roles they play every day.

The expectations they carry.

Most people spend so much time operating, achieving, supporting everyone else, and getting through life that they rarely create enough space to actually ask:

"Is this still who I want to be?"

And that's when things get interesting.

Because deep down most people already know.

They know where they're out of alignment.

They know the conversations they've been avoiding.

They know the decisions they've been delaying.

They know the parts of themselves they've been ignoring.

Sometimes transformation isn't about becoming someone new.

Sometimes it's about finally creating enough space to reconnect with who you already knew you were capable of being.

People see the moments.

The mountains.
The retreats.
The adventures.
The photos.

And it's easy to look at someone's life from the outside and think it just happened.

But what people don't see are all the little decisions that created those moments.

The uncomfortable conversations.
The investments.
The risks.

The times you backed yourself when there were no guarantees.

The times you changed direction when the old path no longer aligned.

The moments where you had to choose the person you wanted to become before there was any evidence it would work.

I think this is the part of growth most people underestimate.

Everyone wants the view from the top of the mountain. But the person who gets there is built through every step before it.

Your life is a reflection of the decisions you keep making. Big and small. Every single day.

One of the most important parts of any retreat or transformational experience isn’t actually the retreat itself…
It’s what happens when people go home.
Because it’s easy to feel expanded in an environment intentionally designed for growth, challenge, connection, reflection, and nervous system regulation.
The real work begins when people re-enter normal life carrying a different awareness, a different standard, and a different version of themselves.
Same phone.
Same business.
Same relationships.
Same responsibilities.
But now they’re seeing life through different eyes.
And that’s where integration matters.
Because transformation isn’t just about having a powerful emotional experience.
It’s about learning how to embody what you discovered once the world starts moving again.
One thing I’m incredibly grateful for is that every person who attended this retreat has ongoing support and community around them afterwards.
Because environments create breakthroughs…
But integration is what changes lives.

I haven’t spoken much about our Queenstown retreat over the last few weeks.

That was intentional.

Not because we weren’t excited about it. Quite the opposite.

But because I never want to force something like this down people’s throats just to fill a room.

And honestly… watching the conversations around this retreat has been fascinating.

Because what we’re seeing isn’t really about a retreat.

It’s people wrestling with the exact patterns that keep them stuck in every area of their life.

“I’d love to, but…”
“Now’s probably not the right time…”
“I just need things to settle first…”
“I’ll do something like this later…”

I understand it.

The world feels uncertain for a lot of people right now. Cost of living, pressure, stress, responsibility… we get it.

But at the same time, I also know this:

Most people are waiting for clarity, confidence, energy, money, or certainty before they make a move… while staying in the exact environment, patterns, and nervous system state that keeps recreating the same reality.

That’s why immersive environments matter so much.

Because something shifts when you get out of your normal life.

Away from the noise.
Away from the distractions.
Away from the constant loops.

You see differently.

You feel differently.

You reconnect to parts of yourself that have been buried under stress, pressure, survival mode, and routine.

And in my experience, this is where the deepest breakthroughs happen.

Not through another podcast.
Not another saved post.
Not more information.

In the room.

In the experience.

In real conversations.

In being around people who are also ready to stop tolerating the same cycles.

Queenstown starts in under two weeks now.

And while part of me used to feel pressure around numbers and outcomes… where I’m at now is simple:

I just want the right people in the room.

The people who know something in their life needs to shift.

The people who are tired of thinking about change and are ready to actually experience it.

That’s who this space is for.

And if something in you has been quietly telling you that you need to get in a different environment for a while now…

maybe stop brushing that feeling aside.

Reach out if you want to have a real conversation about it.

We spend so much time showing up for others… but how often do we show up for ourselves?
Let’s get honest for a moment:
Who are you when you’re not trying to impress anyone?
What do you truly enjoy—without worrying if it’s “productive”?
Are you living based on your values, or other people’s expectations?
What makes you feel most alive lately?
When did you last feel genuinely proud of yourself?
Sometimes, we lose ourselves quietly—by saying yes when we mean no, by shrinking to fit spaces we’ve outgrown, or by forgetting what we actually want.
But you’re still there. Always have been.
Maybe the real question is…
Are you ready to meet yourself again?

🔥Comment “ME” if you’re choosing to reconnect with yourself. Or message me if you want guidance on that journey.

INTEGRITY IS WHY SOME OF YOU ARE STAYING STUCK

We had a moment in Day 1 that really landed for people

I asked everyone on the call, “Who here sees themselves as a person of integrity?”

Every hand went up

Then I said something that shifted the room

Some of you don’t fully commit to things… not because you don’t care

But because you do

You don’t put it in your calendar
You don’t say it out loud
You don’t lock it in properly

Because if you don’t follow through, you feel like you’ve broken your word

And that brings up shame

So instead… you stay vague

You keep things open
You hold back just enough so you never have to face being out of integrity

And that’s the pattern

You’re not avoiding action

You’re protecting your identity

That landed hard!

One person said, “I’ve never heard it like that before… I thought I just needed more discipline”

Another said, “That explains why I keep hesitating even when I know what to do”

This is the level of work we’re going into this week

Because once you see what’s actually driving the behaviour… everything starts to make sense

Day 2 we go deeper

More to come

THIS IS WHAT STAYING THE SAME ACTUALLY COSTS YOU

Not in a dramatic way

In a slow, consistent way that most people don’t even realise

You keep starting… but never stabilising

You get momentum… but never hold it

You see what’s possible… but never fully step into it

And over time, that becomes your normal

Capable, aware… but underperforming

Not because you can’t do more

Because you never fully commit to changing what’s actually driving it

That’s the part that keeps people stuck

Not lack of effort

Lack of decision

We start tomorrow

There are limited spots left

If you’re ready to stop repeating the same cycle, go check the link in the comments and lock it in
