This week, Dad (aka Jim) has been in hospital having major surgery to remove prostate cancer.
Itās been a whirlwind few weeks ā that messy mix of hope, fear, love, and doing your best to hold it together while the doctors and nurses work their magic.
If you know my dad, you know the kind of man he is ā calm, thoughtful, always the first to help, and never one to ask for anything in return. Heās the kind of bloke who gives more than he gets⦠and never complains. He just gets on with it. No fuss, no drama.
So if youāve ever shared a laugh with him, had a deep chat, or been on the receiving end of one of his calming, wise words ā Iād love it if you could write a few kind words. Something for him to read this week whilst he is in full recovery mode- healing and resting up! Itāll mean more than you know!
And even if youāve never met him ā your well wishes, kind thoughts, or even a quiet little prayer. Every bit of support, and every positive vibe sent his way would mean the world.
Dad ā we love you more than words can say. Youāve always been the rock in our world⦠and now weāve got you. Every step.
Youāre not doing this alone.
And to all the men reading this ā please, donāt put it off. Get your PSA levels checked. Prostate cancer isnāt rare anymore. Catching it early makes all the difference.
F*CK CANCER.
