A nice peaceful morning shoot. The clouds didn't look promising on the way to location but I was glad to be proven wrong. It is a nice place to sit and think about the bigger things in life. The mornings are getting cooler and later making it more accessible to more people. We all need to find that kind on peace now and then.

Happy new year everyone. The first sunrise of the new year. I missed the best of the light, I could see it on the drive to the location, but after a few big day and a few late nights, it can be tricky to get out in summer for sunrise. The best part about taking photos is getting out, going for long walks, and taking your time to listen the wind and the waves. To spend time looking at nature, and to spend time looking at yourself. I am looking forward to many more opportunities to go out to take photos in the year that has just opened, and to take the opportunities to better understand myself this year.

Some times the best photos take a little effort, this image was from this weekend, the only gap in the sky was on the horizon. Standing behind the camera to stop the wind blowing it over, and to the protect the camera from the rain that way coming it sideways. It was all worth it in the end.
