The Wesley Lockyer Foundation is currently providing varying levels of support across a number of missing and unresolved cases, including:

Our involvement is different in every case and can include family support, investigation, search planning, specialist assistance and legal or coronial support.

Over the coming weeks, with the appropriate family permissions, we will introduce these cases individually and explain where assistance or information is still needed.

The Wesley Lockyer Foundation has grown from a family’s fight for answers into a passionate community of people who genuinely care about missing people and the families left searching for them.

Now, we’re ready to grow our team — and we need your help.

We know there are incredible people in our community who have skills, experience, compassion and, importantly, a little time they could use to make a real difference.

You might be a stay-at-home mum or dad, work part-time, be semi-retired or retired, or simply have a few spare hours each week and want to put them towards something meaningful.

You don’t necessarily need experience in the not-for-profit sector. We’re looking for good people with big hearts who believe in what we’re trying to achieve.

We are currently seeking volunteers for:

Circumstances:
Between 09:00am and 10:00am on Wednesday 16 October 2019 Bernie Tyson left his residence at House 3 Urapunga Community NT to go on his daily walk into nearby bushland.
He was observed leaving the community on foot and was last seen near the vicinity of the old abattoir dressed in a light coloured t-shirt or collared shirt, black coloured shorts, wearing thongs and carrying a black Mission Australia bag.
His direction of travel was reported to be along the fence-line of the Urapunga Airstrip in a westerly direction.
His eldest son, Heston had purchased a tin of Log Cabin to***co for his father from the local community store early that morning and he departed the community likely carrying with him provisions for the day including a tin of meat and an unknown quantity of water.
Bernie was known to walk every day but never overnight, always returning before the end of the day.
Bernie’s sons became concerned when their father failed to return that evening and began a search utilising the assistance of local community members, after sighting a fire up on the escarpment area to the north-west of the community.
Police were notified the following morning and despite an extensive five day SARMAC search by air, land, and water Bernie was not found.
The weather on the day Bernie went missing and the following days during the search were extreme, with daytime temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius with no rain and high humidity.

The police search for three missing men from Far North Queensland was called off last week, but the community of Yarrabah is not giving up.
Russell Bulmer, 27, Alban Creed, 37, and his son Silas Creed, 18, failed to return from a fishing trip on January 26 when they were last seen on their boat at a reef near Green Island.
It is believed they were having engine trouble.
A life jacket, fuel tank, and three jerry cans confirmed to be from their missing boat were found during the seven-day police search for the men, which was called off after an 1800 square kilometre search area was covered by air and water.
Fundraising for fuel to continue the search is now a priority, along with a call out to anyone in the areas including Far North Queensland, Whitsunday Islands, Palm Islands, Wujal Wujal, Cooktown, Hopevale, Solomon Islands and surrounding waters to keep a lookout for the men.
Senior ranger of the Gunggangji Land and Sea Ranger Service, Darryl Murgha, told the Cairns Post the Yarrabah community was shocked by the disappearance.
They recently gathered on the beach to pray for the missing men.

Mark Anthony Beames
Mark, aged 45yo, Brown Hair, Brown Eyes, was last seen by his Cousin on 4th September, 2014.
This sighting was at Swan Hill, N/W VIC.
He was standing outside the Swan Hill Club with a Family friend, at around 1pm-1:30pm. Then observed heading towards the Wamba Wamba Indigenous Community.

Mark suffers from Seizures & has other Medical issues.

VICPol are now treating Mark's disappearance as a Homicide, with a suggestion he could have crossed the Border to Murray Downs.

Wesley disappeared under very suspicious circumstances, with a large sum of money in his bank account. Almost 4 years on and this amount remains untouched, however his keycard has never been found, despite his wallet being recovered from his home ‼️
