Meaningful Leadership
The support of Technology One is greatly appreciated, their partnership with The Smith Family is a wonderful example of corporate social responsibility in action sponsoring 20 School Students and 14 Senior School Students who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
I The symbolism of sitting between Alison Chalmer - Executive Vice President People & Culture and Corporate Services of Technology One and Ramon Valantino, an Aviation Student, a proud aboriginal young man, first in his family to pursue a tertiary education and the recipient of a scholarship provided by The Smith Family is powerful. This is where I have found meaning in my life, for me helping others find meaning gives me a sense of purpose. As I sit between a corporate that finds meaning by partnering with The Smith Family and a student who finds meaning with the support of The Smith Family I feel satisfied. Satisfied as a senior leader in an organization that has facilitated this win win scenario. Some ask the question “what is the meaning of life?” I would say; I have never found any inherent meaning to life but I have found ways to make it meaningful.
