In December 2015 on my summer break, I started to contemplate manifesting a weekly podcast to accompany our quarterly Oddities e-Club Magazine. I had felt for some time that I needed an additional vehicle to take the voices and messages of our columnists further than the rigid publishing and social media platforms available at this time.
As most know, once you put an intention out into the world, it usually comes back. Less than a month later, I was approached by Metaphysical Maven Sheila Kennedy to co-host her current Welcome to the 1% radioshow on Revolution Radio in the states. I jumped at the chance, and put my podcast plans on hold for three years. On January 28th 2019, after three successful years on air, both Sheila and I retired the show, and ‘The Open Minded Skeptic’ became a reality. The name comes from a play I wrote called “The X-Blogs” back in 2012, its central character Maddie Dab, a supernatural blogger and journalists using it as her pen name inside her newspaper monthly column.
So, what will be the focus of our various podcasts?
Our podcasts will be a combination of interviews with people who work and/or live outside of the mainstream community, a plethora of scripted non-fiction educational discussions touching on the latest conspiracies, ancient origins, ufology, the paranormal, fringe or new science, metaphysical musings, natural living, various product, event, service, book and DVD reviews, as well as some of my own supernatural fictional stories (scripted and at times, unscripted).
