Ups and downs 🙂🙃 Our stairway reveal 💕
Building is always a rollercoaster ride and I'm so glad we're now on this side of the build where we get to enjoy the home we spent so long thinking about. 🎢
Sometimes I see the little details I missed, the small imperfections where I think to myself "oh, I could've done this another way instead". 🧐 But just like this painting, I'm learning to love those little imperfections.
I created this painting during the last few months of our build specifically for this spot in the house. It's way more bumpy than I intended, and it's got some spots where paint is totally missing, but if you step back and look at the big picture, it's a pretty good piece for my first painting! 🎨🖌️
For me it's a reminder that it doesn't have to be perfect the first time around, and sometimes things work out (thinking about you, little gap on the side of the garage that actually gives us more space in the outdoor laundry area) 🥲😲👕
So if you're in the trenches at the moment stressing about that little detail like I was during our build, don't worry too much about it cause you might not even notice it after a while. Hang in there. It's all worth it in the end ☺️
