It's a big day over at Electric Monk. Here's our second release of the week, an EP By Brant Ward titled "Live at Electric Monk", which it is.

Brant was formerly out front of Palladium, a Brisbane Indie Rock act signed to the Warner label. Today he's going it alone with some great new songs.

"Live at Electric Monk" is exactly what it says - 5 live, raw performances of 5 new songs.

Brant is touring in January with Pete Murray. Get a listen and get along.

Born of a white father and black mother, Treaty for me is about the waters mixing, so it’s somewhat autobiographical.

Treaty is about waters mixing, fresh and salt, river meeting sea. I come from saltwater people, Saibaialgal, and also from the people who came from afar a mere 250 years ago…

The stirring of these waters is how I see modern day Australia; a swirling of waters, like a boat making its way across the bar for a better day.

Treaty is a necessary hope for a revival of traditions and customs born from this sacred landscape long before recorded history.

Treaty is a communion of black and white Australia shining together as one. ✊🏾

Many of SEQ's finest musicians took part in Indie 100 which ran for 5 years when Phil was head of music at QUT. Each year we'd find 72 acts to record 100 new songs in 100 hours. The results were stunning. There are hundreds of great songs to listen to here. Phil was executive producer for 5 years:
