Holmes done for the season. Interesting quote from Flanagan for Fantasy coaches:

“We could’ve rolled the dice (and tried to play Holmes this year) which was heavily favoured against us,” Flanagan said. “He could have rehabbed and then in four to six weeks he gets another hit on it and it just stuffs up the start of our season up next year. It was one of those ones we had to get done now so he can have a bit pre-season.” (NewsCorp)

Another reminder to be cautious trading out fit green dots when more players outside the top 8 head to the treatment table early as the season goes on.

Valentine Holmes’ season is over after suffering a significant shoulder injury in Round 19.

Scans this week revealed a torn rotator cuff that will require surgery - with an approximate 6 month recovery time Dragons have opted for immediate surgery to guarantee he is fit for Round 1 2026.
