What is augmented reality?
Have you heard of augmented reality? It's a technology that overlays digital information and virtual objects onto the real world, enhancing our perception and interaction with the environment. With the help of a smartphone camera or a specialized headset, you can see virtual elements like 3D models, animations, or text on top of physical objects, creating a mixed-reality experience.
Augmented reality offers a wide range of benefits for the education industry, especially in the areas of human anatomy 🧠, history 🏰, and science 🔬. It creates more impactful learning that is more involved and interactive.
We are looking to create books with AR experiences to give you a great learning experience.
Stay tuned 😃
"Augmented reality superimposes sounds, videos, and graphics onto an existing environment. It uses four main components to superimpose the images on current environments: cameras and sensors, processing, projections and reflection. Each of these components provides and individual function. For example, cameras and sensors can detect an image's depth or calculate the distance between two objects before superimposing digital content atop the user's view." Maryville University, Blog
