Okay, seeing yesterday I shared some of the highlights of my 7-year business journey it’s only fair I share the lowlights.

😟 All my clients going on Christmas/New Year holidays prior to paying my invoices. Extremely stressful!!!

😟 Posting consistently for years on social media and getting little traction in return. You know, doing all the things that we think we need to do.

😟 Potential clients not showing up for meetings they have booked and never talking to you ever again. 🤷‍♀️

😟 Waking up in Las Vegas to find my laptop sitting in a pool water because I hadn’t put the bag of ice back in the freezer. I blamed jet lag! ✈️

😟 Stressing out at events trying to perfect the perfect pitch and then saying something entirely different. 😄

😟 Working long hours at a computer and missing out on fun.

😟 Feeling isolated and alone. Nobody to share my business ideas, struggles and frustrations with. Or the wins!

🔸Launched Kims Books providing bookkeeping services to small businesses. My first three clients stayed with me until 2023 when I decided to let bookkeeping services go.

🔸Offered Virtual Assistant services helping small business owners with the admin pieces of their business. Such as email newsletters and promotions, scheduling, automations.

🔸Bought Business In Heels – North Shore Sydney Franchise providing networking and business support for local businesswomen.

🔸First event held in October and continued holding monthly networking events until late 2019.

🔸Rebranded to Office Society as an Online Business Manager specialising in Systems Management, Team Management, Launch Management.

𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟵
🔸Co-creator of Women Embracing the World Facebook group for businesswomen who want to grow their online connections, get their business seen by more people and open doors to opportunities.

🔸Started travelling through USA and Australia off the back of my business.

🔸A Co-author in the book RAW Real Stories from Nine Resilient Women.

🔸Continued travelling as a digital nomad with one suitcase and my virtual office.

🔸Closed the Women Embracing the World Facebook group.

🔸Hosted the Dynamic Systems Summit proven systems for online business owners that allow more time for FAMILY. More JOY in life and a business that runs like a DREAM.

🔸Launched Urban Flossy creating vibrant digital planners and journals for career-focused women who crave balance in their busy lives.

🔸Stepped back into my business after an extended period and signed up 3 clients within 4 weeks.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗢𝗪!
🔸Working with solo professionals and online business owners with the growth pieces of their business. Such as launching products & services, email marketing and setting up course and membership sites.

🔸Planning a summit which I’m co-hosting with Kristina Milosevich later this year.

🔸Exploring passive income streams.

Somewhere I read “Being a business owner is the BEST personal development course you can do.” Or words to that effect. Overall I agree… What’s your thoughts.

🥳This week I celebrate 7 years of having an online business.🥳
I finished my last contract on Thursday, 4th May 2017 and launched my online business Monday, 8th May 2017.

Literally closed one door and opened another door. So, my friends who have an online business how long have you been going? 🙂

My Spring Onion seeds might not have been a hit, but that just means there's room for improvement! It's all about trial and error, both in gardening and entrepreneurship. So let's keep testing and pushing forward!

As we head into the Easter break here in Australia (chocolate eggs galore!), I wanted to send warm wishes to everyone, no matter how you choose to celebrate (or not celebrate!)

For those in other parts of the world, know that Easter joy is coming your way soon too!

And of course, for those who don't celebrate Easter, I simply wish you a peaceful and enjoyable break.

I'm about to dash out the door to buy some cabbage seedlings. Let's hope the cabbage moth doesn't enjoy them more than I do...

(Seriously, those little green monsters have a sixth sense for my veggie patch!)
