This is something a bit different, but I wanted to share what I’ve been up to lately. And share a story about my beautiful mum.

I chatted with .bavistock in a special podcast episode about the shifts that have happened as I’ve taken on caring for my mum.

My mum has vascular dementia, and we worked hard to keep her at home but earlier this year she moved into care. It’s been hard and rewarding and sad and beautiful.

So I’m taking my first steps to coming back to myself, and I’m happy to be back here 🩷

Not only did I get to catch up with the fabulous & but hear from such inspiring women.

Congrats to the 2024 Sheachangemaker winners & of 👏

It was wonderful to also meet other finalists and hear from last year’s winner about the impact of this award.

There was the most beautiful energy in the room (and of course the most stunning hair!)

Feeling back to my best self thanks to 🩷🩷🩷

created this custom colour for me and it’s becoming a signature style for me. The whole salon team are amazing at styling and this blowdry is thanks to (this is 2nd day hair btw!!)

Also added a few angles of my haircut so you can see I get long layers which works with both my hair styles straight or curly.

Humidity + hair = big frizz if you have curls, but flat hair if you have straight or fine hair.

When your hair is drier than the air around, water will move from the air to your hair.

And for curls, that means our hair grows. I tend to just go with it but if I want to limit it, I have to set my hair before I go outside. Setting my hair involves products with LOTS of hold, like gel and hairspray.

For fine hair, that water weighs your hair down so mousse and hairspray are your best tools to limit the effects of humidity.

Also hats. Hats are always a good idea 👒🧢🤠
