📍⛩️🌸 Auburn Cherry Blossom Festival, Sydney Australia.
I’ve been in Sydney for about 2 months now due to a family illness, but one of the unexpected blessings of this surprise trip was getting to see Cherry Blossoms for the first time with my mother! She’s always wanted to come to Japan to see the Cherry Blossoms and we were hoping to plan a trip, but with illness and this surprise trip, the future is really uncertain, so it was the most incredible blessing to do this together!
She tried mochi donuts from , saw the festival, tried Yuzu Soda, made origami with the lovely & marveled at the work of .origami .

It was the most gorgeous day, better than I could have dreamed. A special memory to cherish forever. ❤️

Takahatafudo Temple, Spring 2024 🌸⛩️

Took a trip out to West Toyko this Spring for a stamp rally & to hopefully catch some cherry blossoms, but this temple was the surprise gem of the trip.
Tucked away behind the Tama Monorail line the temple area also had a quaint local coffee shop where I picked up some hand painted watercolor postcards. A gorgeous local area!

My first Cherry Blossom season in Toyko!
The weather wasn’t the greatest on the day I went, but I still can’t believe I’m seeing these things I’ve only seen in pictures with my own eyes.

The beginning of Cherry Blossom Season 2024 | shot on Fujifilm X-T4.
I was so intimidated by this camera for the last few years but decided this was the season to learn how to use it, and after about an hour it quickly become one of my favorite cameras!! 😍 a little bit of a learning curve on where to find the settings, but once I got over that hurdle I fell in love.
Can’t wait to shoot on it again!

My Story.

In July 2012, about one year after the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Northern Japan, I visited Japan for the first time. My church in Australia decided to send a group of 10 people to Sendai, one of the areas most directly hit by the Tsunami, for 10 days to help out in the area... & I fell in love with Japan.

About 3 years later on March 23rd, 2015, I moved to Japan, becoming an English teacher and starting to explore everything God has for me in this gorgeous country! ♥️

I love video, I love encouraging people, I love exploring and I love sharing the beauty and hidden gems of Tohoku (the prefectures that make up Northern Japan) ! Come hang out while I share life in Japan & some of my many adventures!
