VJ Network An open-membership, geographically tiered network to encourage localised community discussion amongst VJs and related workers

VJ Network Organisation and Philosophy

+ Closed groups (only members see posts), though it may be that open groups (non-members can see posts) are also fine. As a general rule you should assume whatever you put online will _always_ be seen by someone you didn't intend!

+ Any member can add or approve members

+ Anyone should be allowed to join

+ Exceptions for spammers / bots / persistent abuse



+ If you don't get on with someone, try blocking them if you can't just ignore them

+ As always, follow Wheaton's Law ("Don't be a d*ck.")

+ Link to other local groups with different membership policies

+ Link to wider and narrower geographic area groups related to your group (distributed directory)

+ Try to post local chatter in the relevant as-specific-as-sensible geographic group (probably your local city)
