By using data, brands can now measure a creator’s true impact on sales through metrics like GMV (Gross Merchandise Value) and GPM (Gross Profit per Thousand Streams).

Data from Fabulate Discovery reveals that 1.03% of TikTok creators and 5.66% of Instagram creators in Australia with over 1,000 followers are actively linking to shopping and sales pages in their bios. Have you heard that Instagram is testing unskippable ads on their platform?

Instagram's latest testing phase introduces "unskippable" Ad Breaks, requiring users to view boosted content with a 3-5 second countdown before scrolling.

While some in the industry are concerned about the effect this will have on creator content, Fabulate's Co-Founder and CRO, Ben Gunn argues, "Creator content will always outperform brand ad content across all key metrics - view time, engagement, and response rate. This change would only impact boosted content. Organic branded content won't be affected."

Ben also notes, "Our view is always to include an element of boosting on all creator activity to maximize the reach and to further pinpoint your target audience."
