Devocean brings you another Tidal Rave at alongside the finest local selectors 💃

Artist in focus: Danzuri
10 years ago I applied for Australia's biggest DJ competition called YOUR SHOT. Every year for 10years I registered. Fast forward to 2024 I was selected as 1 out of another 100 in NSW and competed on stage at home night club in sydney. Since yourshot I have been playing gigs in pubs, night markets and private events, building on my skills and confidence as a DJ and finding my sound. Electronic music has been a big part my life. For me it brings out the energy, power, emotion inside of me. I also love the piano and started learning keyboard/piono a couple of years ago. I love the power and emotion that comes from the Piano. Composers such as Bruce falconer from Dragonball and Cinema royalty Hanz zimmer are big inspirations for me. My inspiration and love for music kicked off in 1997 with the Anime Dragonball then in 1999, with music from Eiffel65, Alice deejay, bomfunk mcs and Tiesto hitting the charts. I was hooked. I aim to take people on a journey and bring power, emotion and energy to my sets for a memorable experience through techno and trance. See you on the dance floor.

Sydney-based DJ T$ () brings an energetic, genre-blending vibe to her sets, pulling from influences like hip hop and R&B without being tied down to them. She’s all about creating an experience, weaving her influences within deep and bass-heavy house sets that let the crowd lose themselves in the music. A Your Shot alum, Tonia’s already played at spots like the Lord Gladstone in Chippendale and Darlinghurst’s newest cool spot, Cheeky’s Pizza and Bar, with more venues lined up. T$ is equally at home getting a room moving and pumping, or laying down a smooth and fresh set for a chill vibe. flyboy baz earned his pilot's licence before he could
walk. Or dance. By age 12, he was drafted to teach US
Fighter Pilots classified combat manoeuvres and
advanced dancefloor techniques. After pioneering
commercial aviation’s longest non-stop inflight dance
routine, he disappeared from public view for several
years. Rumours circulated that he operated a
fly-by-night, drink-by-day smuggling operation in the remote South Pacific, delivering crates
of Japanese import CDs and Cuban rum to isolated communities in need of rare grooves
and Mai Tais. I guess we’ll never know the truth of it.
