ROAD CRASH RESCUE - Drake

At 3:50pm Friday 12th July 2024, emergency services were activated to a reported single vehicle crash with potentially two persons trapped.

VRA Rescue NSW - Casino arrived on scene and confirmed a single vehicle vs tree coming to rest on its side and down an embankment crash was evident.

The driver had been assisted out by passers by but the passenger remained trapped in the vehicle.

Paramedics began treating the trapped patient and a rescue plan was established to extricate the trapped person. A secondary back up rescue plan was also discussed in case the first plan had to be abandoned.

Rescue crews stabilised the vehicle to prevent further movement and using hydraulic and battery operated rescue tools began the extrication process in consultation with paramedics.

After approx. 2 hours the patient was released and placed into an ambulance for further treatment for multiple injuries. The driver was also transported for further evaluation for their injuries.

Excellent collaboration and team work from all emergency services including our colleagues from NSW Ambulance, NSW RFS, NSW Police and VRA Rescue NSW. Thanks to Lack Traffic Management for stopping and providing traffic control assistance at scene.

This mum has been on the highway daily as her son was bashed by multiple boys Easter weekend, unfortunately as usual the police are apparently limited to what they can actually do or more like what they choose to do pending repercussions due families involved, I have witnessed teens for far less accusations have to go ahead with meetings involving the the youth liaison under the 3 strike rule yet even with the multiple witnesses and videos the police are still claiming there is not enough evidence to take the matter much further. Will it take for a teenager to die after a bashing until things will be taken seriously?
